Two Milwaukee rabbis are senior Hartman fellows

          Two Milwaukee area rabbis, David Cohen of Congregation Sinai and Jacob Herber of Congregation Beth Israel Ner Tamid, were among the 28 North American rabbis who became Senior Rabbinic Fellows of the Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem.

          This group was the fourth cohort of the institute’s Rabbinic Leadership Initiative. The participants spent a month each summer and a week each winter over three years studying in Jerusalem, and engaged in weekly study at home with leading institute scholars.

          The graduation ceremony, which Cohen and Herber both attended, took place in Jerusalem July 7.
