The June 4 issue of the Internet magazine Tablet: A New Read on Jewish Life contained an article featuring former Milwaukeean Joey Weisenberg’s work on synagogue music.
Weisenberg, 31, now lives in New York City, and is a musician, prayer leader and teacher on a mission to “reinvigorate Jewish life through song,” as the article by Leonard Felson puts it.
Weisenberg has also made a new recording in May, “Joey’s Nigunim Vol. III, Live in the Choir Loft,” featuring his band, named Joey Weisenberg and the Hadar Ensemble, that will be released later in the year, according to the article.
