A program called “Gan Ami and Me” will be included in the events comprising the Flourish Fest, coordinated by University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee associate professor of theatre Anne Basting.
The festival runs from May 5-17, coinciding with National Older Americans Month. It is part of the UWM Peck School’s Year of the Arts celebration and dovetails with the community connections that are a key component of YOA.
“Gan Ami and Me” will take place Sunday, May 5, 3:30 p.m., in the gallery at Chai Point, 1414 N. Prospect Ave. The program will celebrate and exhibit artwork created by 4- to 5-year-olds in the Gan Ami Beginnings, Preschool, and Kindergarten program of the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center and Jewish Home and Care Center residents.
Flourish Fest is organized by The Creative Trust, an organization dedicated to fostering lifelong learning in the arts.
Most Flourish Fest events are free and open to the public unless otherwise indicated. For more information, call 414-229-4308 or visit peckschoolnews.uwm.edu.
