Ariel is a seventh grader at Maple Dale School. For her mitzvah project, she is collecting travel-size toiletry items for Ronald McDonald House Charities to use in visitor hospitality bags.
Morgan Markenson of Bayside will celebrate becoming a bat mitzvah on May 11 at Congregation Sinai. She is the daughter of Nanci and Jim Markenson.
The maternal grandmother is Karen Sideman of Boca Raton, Fla.
