Congregation Beth Israel Ner Tamid will hold its first Torah Fund Event as a joint synagogue on Sunday, May 5. This year it will be a luncheon starting at noon at the synagogue.
The honorees for this event will be Sue Strait and Deanna Spanjar for their years of dedicated service to their Sisterhood organizations.
Torah Fund contributions help provide dollars for financial aid, residence halls, and the libraries at the Jewish Theological Seminary (N.Y.), the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies (L.A.), and the Schechter Institute of Jewish Studies (Jerusalem).
To make a contribution to the Torah Fund in honor of the honorees, send a check to the synagogue, 6880 N. Green Bay Ave., Glendale, WI, 53209. To attend the luncheon, call Elaine Durchslag at 414-446-4038. The cost of the luncheon is $20. Reservations deadline is April 29.
