Tikkun Ha-Ir slates program on ‘Food Ethics’

Tikkun Ha-Ir of Milwaukee will present “Food Ethics, Multiculturalism, and the Power of Tradition” at its next Brunch’n Learn on Sunday, March 10, 9:30 a.m., at Lake Park Synagogue, 3207 N. Hackett Ave.

Rabbi Shlomo Levin of Lake Park Synagogue and Young Kim, executive director of Fondy Farmers Market, will discuss changing attitudes towards food and nutrition through a cultural lens.

Brunch is at 9:30 a.m. Program is from 10 a.m. to noon. The program is free and open to the public. Donations are welcome.

Tikkun Ha-Ir encourages the Jewish community to build a more just Milwaukee through study, action, and civic engagement. Last year it distributed 16,000 pounds of fresh produce to food pantries and meal sites. Farmers from the Fondy Market donated almost one-third of the total.
