For the Wish Room

Students participating in the religious and Hebrew schools at Congregation Shalom constructed a chanukiah (Chanukah menorah) filled with cleaning and hygiene supplies donated to the Wish Room at Jewish Family Services. The menorah was one of many efforts by the schools to reinforce how simple heroism, acts of kindness and tikkun olam (repair of the world) can make a difference for others. In addition, the students raised money for J-Help, collected food for the Jewish Community Pantry, and donated blankets to Sojourner Family Peace Center. Photo provided by Tara Clark/JFS.
