Birthright Israel bar mitzvah party slated for Hillel

In honor of the bar mitzvah year of Taglit Birthright Israel trips, Hillel Milwaukee and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee alumnus Aaron Epstein will host a Reunion/Chanukah party on Sunday, Dec. 9, 4–7 p.m. for all past participants in these trips.

The event is free and will take place at the Joseph & Vera Zilber Hillel Student Center at 3053 N. Stowell Ave.

I want the purpose of this event to be to refresh our memories of the moments we had when we were in Israel and how it has changed us to this day,” Epstein wrote in a statement. “This reunion can be a first step and a tradition to carry on for years to come. We can continue to reunite with those with the same experiences and build friendships.”

Participants will have an opportunity to learn about the NU Campaign, that according to its web site, “aims to create a global community of ambassadors for important charitable causes, through unique designer t-shirts.” This effort “represents Israeli and global humanitarian causes that strive to improve the quality of life for all people,” according to the site.

To RSVP, call Hillel, 414-961-2010.
