Rachel Baum, senior lecturer in the Department of Foreign Language and Linguistics at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, has received the Joanne Lazirko Award for Excellence in Teaching with Technology.
The honor was announced in the November 2012 UWM Report. According to the news item, Baum “teaches fully online and technology-enhanced face-to-face courses… She creatively uses an array of innovative technologies — including social media, Second Life, mobile learning, digital storytelling, and games — to support her course learning objectives.”
Baum is also a coordinator of UWM’s Sam & Helen Stahl Center for Jewish Studies.
