Survivors’ recipes

On Oct. 16, more than 130 women from Milwaukee’s North Shore gathered at The Shul in Bayside for an evening with Joanne Caras, author of “The Holocaust Survivor Cookbook.” Presented in partnership with Crown Judaica, the Jewish Women’s Circle, National Council of Jewish Women, and the Rosh Chodesh Society of Mequon, the event featured a talk by Caras; stories from local survivors’ families; and a tasting of recipes from the cookbook.
