Israeli environmentalists visit

A delegation of Israeli environmental activists connected to the Sovev Kinneret, Milwaukee’s Partnership2Gether region in Israel, visited Milwaukee Oct. 25-Nov. 1. Their many activities included a meeting with Karen Sowe (third from right), program assistant at Growing Power, which collaborates with the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center in operating a farmers market in Bayshore Town Center. The delegates were (far left) Adina Dolev, (fifth through seventh from left) Gil Stav, Guly Ortal-Ivry, and Yarden Tenenbaum. With them here are (second and third from left) Milwaukee Jewish Federation P2G cluster coordinator Elsie Crawford, JCC Bayshore program coordinator Dana Emold, and (right) Israel emissary and director of the MJF Israel Center Ro’ee Peled. This meeting took place in the J Shore room at Bayshore on Oct. 26. Photo by Leon Cohen. See the December issue for further coverage of the visit.
