The Milwaukee Jewish Home and Care Center annual dinner will honor three people that fit the dinner’s theme of “Embody the Spirit of ‘Doing unto Others.’”
The event will take place on Sunday, Nov. 11, beginning with a reception at 5:15 p.m., in Peck Hall, 1414 N. Prospect Ave., followed by dinner at 6 p.m. in the Rubenstein Pavilion, 1410 N. Prospect Ave.
The honorees will be:
• William Elliott, the outgoing Chai Point board chair, who will receive the Leadership Award.
• Edie Shafter, Hand in Hand board member, who will receive the Bikkur Cholim Award.
• Judith Margolis, Hand in Hand board member, who will receive the Volunteer Award.
Cost is $40 per person. RSVP deadline is Nov. 2. Dietary laws will be observed; and free underground parking will be available. Honorary chairs of the dinner planning committee are Betty and David Smulyan.
