Deadline to register for mission to Israel is Nov. 15

         Nov. 15 is the deadline to register for the “Beyond Milk and Honey” 2013 Milwaukee Jewish Federation Community Mission to Israel, scheduled to take place Feb. 21-March 3.

         As explained in last month’s Chronicle, the planned activities will include:

         • Celebrating Purim in Tel Aviv.

         • Sampling Israel’s distinctive foods and wines.

         • Learning from mission scholar-in-residence Rachel N. Baum of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and from Chef Rebecca Guralnick.

         • Exploring Israel’s Negev region.

         • Visiting in Milwaukee’s Partnershp2Gether community near Lake Kinneret.
