Milwaukee Ballet to honor Soref

The Milwaukee Ballet’s first production of the season, the world premier of artistic director Michael Pink’s “La Bohème,” a full-length ballet to Giacomo Puccini’s score without the opera’s words, will be presented in honor of ballet board member Nita Soref.

“Nita Soref’s long-standing support has kept Milwaukee Ballet alive and vibrant, and her kind spirit has endeared her to so many in our company, myself included,” said Pink in a released statement. “As Nita is passionately devoted to both opera and ballet, I’m so pleased we found ‘La Bohème’ as the perfect opportunity to recognize her and her generosity.”

The performances are scheduled for Oct. 18-21 at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets are available at 414-902-2103. More information is available at milwaukeeballet.org. The productionis underwritten by family and friends of Soref, Nancy and Stephen Einhorn, and Foley & Lardner LLP.
