Home Care Assistance of Milwaukee announced on July 24 that it has received Home Care Pulse’s “Best of Home Care” distinction. This is awarded to the top 25 percent of agencies in client satisfaction scores.
Home Care Pulse is a company that measures client and employee satisfaction. It created the award to identify those agencies in the in-home care space that demonstrate a passion for client and employee satisfaction.
Home Care Assistance provides in-home care for seniors. It is owned by Rick Cohen and is located in Whitefish Bay.
The company also announced on Aug. 9 that it has hired Elizabeth Atkinson as sales and marketing manager.
Talkers magazine, a trade publication serving the talk media industry, recently compiled its first annual “Heavy Hundred of Sports Talk-The 100 Most Important Sports Talk Radio Hosts in America.”
Milwaukeean Mitch Nelles, along with Steve “Homer” True, of WAUK-AM 540 ESPN was listed 99th on this list. Their show, “Homer and Thunder,” airs weekdays 3-6 p.m.
Nelles is active in the local Jewish community. He received the Milwaukee Jewish Federation’s Ben Nickoll Young Leadership Award in 2007.
Milwaukeean Steve Schuster on July 25 was elected president of the newly-revived Milwaukee chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.
According to an email from Schuster, the SPJ “is a professional organization that includes broadcast, print and online journalists, journalism educators, and students interested in journalism as a career.”
Schuster is a magazine editor with Trade Press Media Group. Among his responsibilities as Milwaukee SPJ president is to run the chapter’s social media pages, he wrote.
He is a member of Congregation Shalom and the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center.
