Ex-Milwaukeean Friedman heads New Mexico federation

Former Milwaukeean Linda Friedman of Albuquerque, N.M., was installed as president of the Jewish Federation of New Mexico at its annual meeting on June 19.

She has lived in New Mexico for about ten years. She has served as JFNM’s campaign chair and helped create a Jewish Women’s Endowment Fund of the Jewish Community Endowment Foundation of New Mexico.

She also serves as a volunteer chaplain for the Jewish Family Service of New Mexico. She received that organization’s Volunteer of the Year Award in 2009; and is a recipient of the Mayor’s Outstanding Volunteer Award from the Albuquerque city government.
