One of “A Thousand Clowns”

Members of the Milwaukee Chamber Theatre gave a preview of the three plays by Jewish authors in the coming season, hosted by the Jewish Museum Milwaukee on July 12. The three plays form a group, “Exploring Jewish Voices” (see story, page x) within the season’s overall five-play theme of “Rebels: Pushing Against the Boundaries.” Above, actor Tom Klubertanz reads from the first play in the season, Herb Gardner’s “A Thousand Clowns,” while behind him (from left) artistic director C. Michael Wright, education director Jacque Troy, and production director Jonathan West watch. “A Thousand Clowns” runs Aug. 9-26. Photo by Leon Cohen.
