Leigh Bornstein and Adam Lurie of Washington, D.C., are engaged and planning to be married Sept. 2.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Barbara and Ronald Bornstein of Mequon. Leigh graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, earned an M.D. in 2007 at the Medical College of Wisconsin, and completed her residency at George Washington University in 2010. She works for Johns Hopkins Community Hospitals.
The future groom’s parents are Evelyn and Steven Lurie of Northbrook, Ill. Adam graduated from George Washington University in 2002 and earned a master’s degree at American University in 2009. He is vice president of government solutions for Social Intelligence Corp.
Stephanie Rachel Dykeman and Brendon Scott Sklar of Chicago are engaged and planning to be married on Oct. 21.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Annie and Richard Dykeman of Mequon. Stephanie graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2001 and from the law school of the University of California-Berkeley in 2004. She works for the Jewish Community Relations Council of the Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago.
The future groom’s parents are Teri and Dennis Sklar of Northbrook, Ill. Brendon graduated from the University of Arizona in 2000. He is employed by the Fifth Third Bank.
