All Wisconsin Jewish artists and artisans — including potters, jewelry creators, and apparel designers — are invited to attend the inaugural meeting of a Jewish artists’ association to promote Jewish art and the Jewish artists of the state.
The purpose is also to form a co-operative to show the works of Jewish artists in special statewide shows, and to offer a venue for sale of Wisconsin Jewish artists’ work.
Arlene Becker, who is spearheading the formation of the group, was the director of the Art House Gallery, and in that capacity had set up exhibitions throughout the Milwaukee area. Many of these exhibitions were juried by name Wisconsin artists and art professors.
