Gilda’s Club Southeastern Wisconsin will present “Humor, Health & Hope … feel better with laughter,” a free, family-friendly comedy event for cancer survivors and their families on Saturday, June 9, 4-7:30 p.m., at the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center.
The event will begin with a Laughter Club workshop, lead by Meagan Brown, MA, LCSW, mind-body therapist from Cancer Treatment Centers of America. Participants will learn how laughter can be a healing modality. Children will have their own workshops.
Following a light hors d’oeuvres reception, award-winning comedian, juggler, and cancer survivor Scott Burton will take the stage with his own brand of “humor therapy.”
Actor/comedian/impressionist Dave Coulier will follow. He is best known for his role as Joey Gladstone on the long-running ABC television series “Full House.”
This National Cancer Survivors Day® event is presented with support from Cancer Treatment Centers of America® and Stan Kass, president of Skylark Vending, in memory of his wife, Lee.
