Some 400 people attended the event at the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center. The event particularly commemorated non-Jewish Israelis — like keynote speaker Major Ismail Kablan, a Druze in the Israeli air force — and Diaspora Jews serving in Israel’s armed forces.
