Sinai hosts a founder of eco-activist kibbutz

Congregation Sinai is hosting a NFTY Spring Kallah for Teens Event on Friday, April 20, 6:15 p.m.

Alex Cicelsky from Kibbutz Lotan in Israel will speak during the service, and give a slide presentation, following the Kiddush.

The event is co-sponsored by the Congregation Sinai Israel Committee and the Association of Reform Zionists of America. Marlene Dodinval, ARZA Midwest director, will also be present.

Cicelsky is a founding member of Kibbutz Lotan, which was created almost 30 years ago. Its mission is to live Jewishly, equitably, and in an environmentally sustainable way.

Its Center for Creative Ecology (CCE) runs many educational programs for students, visiting congregations, for American, Israeli, and international youth groups, and international (including Palestinian) visitors.

The event is open to the public. RSVP to Sinai, 414-352-2970, or to Eti Ganin, 414-964-2727, by April 15.
