Congregation Emanu-El B’ne Jeshurun will hold a series of events during the weekend of March 30-April 1 to mark the installation of Rabbi Jessica K. Barolsky as rabbi-director of the synagogue’s Lifelong Learning program.
An installation ceremony will be part of the Shabbat evening service at 7 p.m. The service will be preceded by a Shabbat dinner at 6 p.m. Cost of dinner is $18 for adults, $12 for children under 12.
Rabbis of the congregation in which Barolsky grew up, Jack Luxemburg and Brian Zimmerman, will participate in the events. They will lead the Saturday morning Study Minyan at 9 a.m. A Shabbat luncheon will follow at 12:15 p.m.
The events will conclude with a workshop on Pesach on Sunday at 9:45 a.m. with Rabbis Barolsky, Marc Berkson, Luxemburg, and Zimmerman, and Cantor David Barash.
