The Coalition for Jewish Learning, the education program of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation, and the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center will offer film classes during March.
A special film in the spirit of Purim will be “The Infidel”(2010), shown on Tuesday, March 6, 7 p.m. This comedy of mistaken identities introduces a London cab driver adopted at birth who discovers he was born a Jew and whose son is engaged to the stepdaughter of a radical Muslim cleric.
On Sunday, March 11, 4 p.m., as part of the “Jews Around the World” series, the film “The Boys: The Sherman Brothers’ Story”(2009) will tell of an award-winning songwriting team whose families became estranged.
On Monday, March 19, 7:30 p.m., as part of the “Cutting Edge Israel” series co-sponsored by the Israel Center of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation, the film “Alone” (2008) will be shown and discussed. The feature delves into the world of three divorced haredi Orthodox women.
