The Lux Center for Catholic-Jewish Studies at the Sacred Heart School of Theology will present Prof. Yehezkel Landau of the Hartford Seminary in a lecture and discussion of “Biblical Resources for Peacemaking: Liberating Lessons from Genesis.”
The event will take place on the birthday of U.S. President Abraham Lincoln, Sunday, Feb. 12, 2-4 p.m., at the Sacred Heart School, 7335 S. Highway 100, Franklin.
Landau will examine passages in Genesis that offer lessons for healing conflict and building peace. Examples from the Israeli-Palestinian conflict will be used to ground the discussion.
This is the second annual winter lecture presented by the Lux Center, North America’s only Catholic seminary-based center for Catholic-Jewish Studies.
