Peltz receives honorable mention at D.C. conference

Arleen Peltz, chair of the Jewish Home and Care Center, received an Honorable Mention at the 2011 LeadingAge Annual Meeting and Exposition Oct. 16-19 in Washington D.C., a national conference that marked the 50th anniversary of the association.

The exhibit celebrated 50 people who amplified the organization’s values and who are examples of expanding the world of possibilities for aging.

Arleen was chosen for continuing her late husband, Walter’s, work in sharing his experiences during the Holocaust and continuing to educate groups about that period of history.

According to its website, “LeadingAge is an association of 5,600 not-for-profit organizations dedicated to making America a better place to grow old. We advance policies, promote practices and conduct research that supports, enables and empowers people to live fully as they age.”
