MJDS wins PEJE award

The Milwaukee Jewish Day School is one of 27 North American Jewish day schools out of 127 applicants to win a 2011 Challenge Award from the Partnership for Excellence in Jewish Education.

The winning schools each received $25,000. The award, according to a PEJE release, is “designed to drive increased revenue through innovation,” and the organization “awarded $625,000 to schools across North America for implementing initiatives that creatively responded to the day school sustainability challenge.”

Diane Wolfson, MJDS grant writer, submitted an application that focused on “recruiting and retention,” according to an email from Brian King, head of school.
