Bernard A. Daniels
Bernard A. Daniels died on June 20 of natural causes. He was 90.
He was a Chicago native who graduated from the Von Steuben High School there in 1938. He worked in Chicago as a printer, owning his own business. His family brought him and his wife, Toby (nee Weitzman), to Milwaukee about ten years ago.
According to his family, he was a handyman who “liked to fix things.”
He was preceded in death by his wife, who died in 2008, and his daughter Grenna Daniels Bernstein, who died in 1991.
At the time of his death, he was survived by his son, David (Amy Biller Daniels) Daniels, M.D., of Milwaukee (see obituary below), and by three grandchildren.
Piser Funeral Services handled arrangements. The funeral took place on June 24. Burial was in Westlawn Cemetery in Norridge, Ill.

David L. Daniels, M.D.
Milwaukee neuro-radiologist David L. Daniels, M.D., died Nov. 2 of primary progressive aphasia. He was 62.
He was born in Chicago, and graduated from Von Steuben High School, the University of Illinois at Chicago, and that university’s Abraham Lincoln School of Medicine.
He then came to Milwaukee to train in radiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He ended up a full-time member of MCW’s faculty, attaining rank of full professor and serving for ten years as chief of the neuro-radiology section.
He was a member of the American Society of Neuro-Radiology. In addition, he did medical drawings that were published in books and journals. He also made portrait drawings as a hobby, and enjoyed movies, according to his second wife, Amy Biller Daniels. He was a member of Congregation Shalom.
His first wife, Lynda M. Daniels, died in 1979. In addition to his second wife, he is survived by three sons, Marc Daniels of Indianapolis, and Steven and Michael Daniels, both of Milwaukee.
Blane Goodman Funeral Service handled arrangements. Rabbi Ronald Shapiro officiated at the funeral on Nov. 6. Burial was in Mound Zion Cemetery.

Henry Lerner
Milwaukeean Henry Lerner died Nov. 23 of natural causes. He was 93.
He was born in South Milwaukee, graduated from Riverside High School in 1936, and attended the University of Wisconsin Extension in 1937-38.
He was the owner of Lerner Foods on Green Bay Ave., and served as president of the Green Bay Ave. Business Association. He was a member of Beth El Ner Tamid Synagogue, the Zionist Organization of America, and of the men’s group of NA’AMAT, and was active in Labor Zionism.
He enjoyed music, art, jogging, health foods, theater, and he earned an airplane pilot’s license, according to his family. He was a member of the Perhift Players with his wife Bess. He also was a sculptor in various media.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Bess (nee Shein); daughter Meris Lerner of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; sons Jay (Bobette) Lerner of Omaha, Neb., Kent (Eileen) Lerner of Delray Beach, Fla., and Ross (Nancy) Lerner of Agora Hills, Calif.; sister Ruth (Burton) Stein of La Jolla, Calif., brother Gene Lerner of Santa Barbara, Calif.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Goodman-Bensman Whitefish Bay Funeral Home handled arrangements. Family friend Paul Melrood officiated at the funeral on Nov. 28. Burial was in Mound Zion Cemetery.

Eva Schneiderman
Marinette native Eva Schneiderman, nee Malkin, died Nov. 2 of natural causes. She was 97.
She moved to Milwaukee in 1934, and was married to Joe Schneiderman for more than 60 years. She was a member of Congregation Beth Israel and was very active in the B’nai B’rith bowling league.
According to her daughter, Dorene (Phil) Paley of Milwaukee, she enjoyed reading, cooking (“she was a great cook and baker”), casino gambling, and mahjong in her younger years. Her daughter added that she was an off-and-on member of other local organizations like NA’AMAT.
Her husband died in 1999. In addition to her daughter, she is survived by son Larry (Milena) Schneiderman of Milwaukee; sister Diana (George Lipschultz) Siegel-Lipschultz of Menomonee Falls; sister-in-law Sally Malkin of Glendale; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Goodman-Bensman Whitefish Bay Funeral Home handled arrangements. Rabbi Jacob Herber officiated at the funeral on Nov. 4 at Congregation Beth Israel. Burial was in Temple Menorah Ever-Rest Cemetery.
