Two Wisconsin teens attend BBYO summit

Brad Honigberg of Mequon and Sam Papermaster of Glendale, both members of Wisconsin BBYO, were among the 85 Jewish teens from around North America who attended “One For All: A Jewish Teen Issue Summit on Equality” that took place Nov. 13-15 in Boston.

According to a release from the BBYO Panim Institute, the event was designed “to explore Jewish values related to the issues of equality, specifically around race, religion, ability, class, gender, and sexuality.”

The event also “asks participants to consider what their role is in creating a bully-free and more inclusive environment in schools, youth groups, their community, and our world,” the release states.

The summit was organized by the BBYO Panim Institute in partnership with Facing History and Ourselves, the Freedom Trail Foundation, Gateways of Boston, The Boston Foundation, and Keshet.
