The Development Corporation for Israel-State of Israel Bonds organization in Milwaukee will give David Lubar its Declaration of Independence Award at its 36th annual tribute dinner.
The event will take place Tuesday, Nov. 15, at the InterContinental Milwaukee, 139 E. Kilbourn Ave. The reception will begin at 5 p.m., with dinner at 6 p.m. (dietary laws observed).
Lubar is president and CEO of Lubar & Co., a private investment firm. He has been active in the Milwaukee Jewish Federation and many other local non-profit organizations.
In addition, the event will feature Matthew Levitt, Ph.D., director of the Stein Program on Counterterrorism and Intelligence of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy.
Levitt is also a lecturer in international relations and strategic studies at Johns Hopkins University; and from 2005-07 he was a counterterrorism advisor in the U.S. State Department.
