Chai Lights: JCC makes a CATCH

Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center health, recreation and fitness intern Erika Lak leads children from the JCC Gan Ami Beginnings, Preschool & Kindergarten in a fitness activity as part of the JCC’s CATCH (Coordinated Approach to Child Health) program. CATCH was instituted this year to nurture love of physical activity and encourage healthy eating habits in children ages 3-5. The program is modeled after the curriculum developed by the Jewish Community Center Association. Lak, a kinesiology student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, has been working with Gan Ami children three days a week since August. Photo by Kipp Friedman.
