ASKT ‘Stay-Treat’ presents workshops on relationships

Rabbi Jerry Lob — nationally renowned lecturer and author of articles on matters of parenting, marriage, and Jewish philosophy — will present four workshops focusing on Positive Jewish Relationships at Anshe Sfard Kehillat Torah’s “Stay-Treat” (like a retreat only closer).

The series is scheduled for the weekend of Nov. 11-13 at the synagogue, 6717 N. Green Bay Ave.

Lob received his rabbinical ordination from Beth Medrash Govoha in Lakewood, N.J., and a doctorate in clinical psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. His workshop topics will be:

• “Remembering to Kiss the Boo-Boos & Other Relationship Secrets” on Friday evening.

• “The Most Important & Often Neglected Relationships” during Shabbat morning services.

• “Positive Jewish Parenting & Grandparenting: An Interactive Workshop” on Shabbat afternoon.

• “The CPR’s of Making Good Relationships Work” at a Sunday brunch.

In addition, the synagogue will host ComedySportz on Saturday evening.

The Stay-Treat, including meals and ComedySportz, will be $75 for adults, $30 for youths aged 13-18, $10 for children 6-12, and free for children under 5. Babysitting will be provided for parts of the weekend.
