Former Milwaukeean Dana Elizabeth Stern of Bethesda, Md., died May 22. She was 40.
Born in Evanston, Ill., she graduated from Nicolet High School in Glendale in 1988. She earned her undergraduate degree at Washington University in 1992, where she was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa honor society; and she graduated with honors from Harvard Law School in 1995.
She was senior vice president and deputy general counsel for MCG Capital Corporation in Arlington, Va. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling with her family, reading, and cooking.
A former BBG chapter president, she belonged to Temple Shalom in Chevy Chase, Md.
She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Michael Rothberg; sons Jake and Evan Rothberg; parents Ben and Ethel Stern of Milwaukee; and sister Cindy Stern of Seattle, Wash.
The family would appreciate memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society or a charity of one’s choice.
