A concert in memory of Milwaukee Fine Arts Quartet cellist Wolfgang Laufer is being planned by the Laufer family, the quartet, and the Jewish Museum Milwaukee.
It is scheduled to be held on Sunday, Sept. 4, 11 a.m., at the museum, 1360 N. Prospect Ave. Light refreshments will be served after the program.
Laufer, 64, died on June 8. Born in Rumania, he immigrated to Israel in 1961 and completed his musical studies at the Tel Aviv Academy. After working with orchestras in Israel and Europe, he joined the Fine Arts Quartet in 1979.
