People beat the heat at the Hy & Richard Smith JCC Water Park in Mequon, operated by the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center. Features at the facility include a Ga Ga pit, games in the Activity Island, a zero-depth-entry pool, a Surfside Snack Shop, an adult volleyball league, swimming lessons, and Wednesday evening family barbecues. The park remains open through Labor Day, Sept. 5. A JCC Membership Appreciation Corn Roast is planned for Sunday, Aug. 21.
