Packman elected to lead surgery academy

Kevin S. Packman, M.D., was recently elected president of the Milwaukee Academy of Surgery.

The academy, founded in 1963, is a professional association of general and specialty surgeons.

Detroit native Packman came to Milwaukee about 20 years ago for residency training at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He is in surgical practice with the Wheaton Franciscan Medical Group, and is based primarily at St. Joseph Hospital.
