After two years, Moshe Katz has completed his term as the Annual Campaign Chair of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation.
During his tenure, economic hardship affected Milwaukee’s Jewish community as well as communities nationally and around the world. Throughout these challenges, Katz exhibited enormous enthusiasm and passion for his work, helping to lead the Federation through two campaigns.
His overall opinion of the 2011 Annual Campaign is a positive one, despite the many financial demands facing our community.
“We were hoping for a more robust recovery this year, but we did have a solid improvement and we did as well as possible,” he said.
Katz’s outstanding leadership was a key factor in the success of the Annual Campaign, and Rabbi Eric B. Stark is pleased to have worked with Katz during his first year as MJF Campaign Director.
“Moshe is truly incredible and brings an unbridled passion to his work. His neshamah [soul] pours out in everything he does. His love of Jews, Judaism and Israel knows no bounds, and we thank him,” said Stark.
It is this passion that continues to drive Katz’s volunteer commitments. “The Milwaukee Jewish Federation, its volunteers and donors are doing amazing work — locally, nationally and internationally. You can’t lose sight of that,” said Katz.
Katz will continue to serve the community in his new role as president-elect of the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center.
