Lucille Rosefelt, nee Kendall, of Madison died March 22. She was 90.
According to the obituary article on the Web site Madison.com, she was born in Milwaukee. She trained in education and worked as a teacher. She served in the WAVES (women’s group in the U.S. Navy) during World War II; she was in uniform when she married Parker Rosefelt in 1944. The family moved to Madison in 1960. After her children grew up, she taught kindergarten.
She was a member of Temple Beth El in Madison. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, classical music, golf, and raising roses.
Her husband died in 2007. She is survived by daughter Bonnie (David) Dill; sons Harry (Nina) Rosefelt and Reid (Melissa) Rosefelt; three grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Rabbi Jonathan Biatch officiated at graveside services at Forest Hill Cemetery in Madison. Cress Funeral and Cremation Service handled arrangements.
