Emily Rose Blumenthal of Bayside will celebrate becoming a bat mitzvah on May 14 at Congregation Beth Israel. She is the daughter of Amy and Edward Blumenthal, and the sister of Rachel, 10.
The maternal grandparents are the late Arienne Balser and Martin (Cecile) Balser of Tarzana, Calif. Linda and Saul Blumenthal of Columbus, Ohio, are the paternal grandparents.
Emily is a student at the Milwaukee Jewish Day School.
