Sisterhoods to hold Torah Fund event

The Congregation Beth Israel and Beth El Ner Tamid Synagogue Sisterhoods will hold their annual joint Torah Fund Event on Sunday, June 5.

This year the event will be a brunch starting at 11 a.m. at Congregation Beth Israel, 6880 North Green Bay Ave. Judy Bloch (CBI) and Betty Rae Litow (BENT) will be honored for their years of dedicated service to their respective Sisterhood organizations.

Torah Fund contributions help provide for financial aid, residence halls, and the libraries at the Jewish Theological Seminary (New York), the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies (Los Angeles) and Schechter Institute of Jewish Studies (Jerusalem).

To make a contribution to the Torah Fund in honor of the honorees, please send a check to either synagogue. To attend the brunch, please call one of the reservations chairpersons: Elaine Durchslag, 414-446-4038, or Sophie Hochman, 262-236-0523.
