In the March synagogue bulletin of Mt. Sinai Congregation in Wausau, Rabbi E. Daniel Danson reported two news items.
First, he announced that in May, Jeannie Waldman will retire as volunteer principal of the synagogue’s religious school. She has served in that position for 25 years. The synagogue will honor her at a dinner scheduled for May 21.
Second, Danson reported on the progress being made in repairing water damage to the synagogue building. On Jan. 24, a pipe burst in one of the building’s classrooms, causing about 1,000 gallons of water to leak into the building.
Danson said that insurance will cover the cost of repairs, and “the board is confident that the building will be fully restored to its pre-flood condition.”
