JNF Green Sunday seeks to relieve Israel’s water crisis

Jewish National Fund Wisconsin Region will hold its annual Green Sunday phonathon on Sunday, April 3, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Israel is facing its most severe water shortage in nearly a century. Seven consecutive years of drought have deprived its natural water sources of sufficient replenishment, while a growing population and rising standard of living have led to a sharp increase in consumption.

JNF volunteers will be calling prospective donors in Wisconsin to let them know how they can help JNF build in Israel an additional 40 reservoirs over the next few years.

Local Green Sunday co-chairs Rusti and Dr. Steven Moffic are seeking volunteers to make calls into the community. Refreshments will be served and prizes will be awarded.
