The Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center will sponsor three family-oriented Chanukah events during the festival. They are:
• “A Community Hanukkah Concert” on Saturday, Dec. 4, 5 p.m. at J-Shore in Bayshore Town Center in Glendale. This will feature performances by the Gan Ami Beginnings Preschool & Kindergarten; the Milwaukee Jewish Day School; Synagogue Youth Choirs; and Baby Ballerinas from the JCC. • A screening of the film “Hanukkah: The Missing Menorah,” on Sunday, Dec. 5, 10 a.m., at the JCC, 6255 N. Santa Monica Blvd., in Whitefish Bay. This film is from a new series set in Israel from the creators of Sesame Street called Shalom Sesame. This program stars Annaliese van der Pol with a special appearance by Debbie Mazur. • A community-wide Chanukah event called “Making Miracles Happen” will take place on Monday, Dec. 6, 4 p.m. at the JCC. This year’s theme is the Jewish value of tzedakah (charity).
