A son, Gabriel Edward (Hebrew name Yitzhak Ben Aryeh), was born on July 3 to JoAnn and Harvey Sernovitz of Falls Church, Va. He is the brother of Jack, 12, and Zoe, 9.
The maternal grandparents are Terry and Gary smith of Racine. Seema and Neal Sernovitz of Mequon are the paternal grandparents.
The paternal great-grandparents are Phyllis Smith of Auburndale, Wis.; and Ted Sernovitz of Naples, Fla.
The baby is named in memory of paternal cousin Edward Shovers.
