Former Milwaukeean Blanche Sernovitz, nee Todes, of Naples, Fla., died on Oct. 31. She was 95.
She was born in Chicago, grew up in Milwaukee, and graduated from Washington High School and Marquette University. She was a first grade teacher in Milwaukee Public Schools. She also taught Sunday school for 25 years at Congregation Shalom. After moving to Florida, she became a member of Temple Shalom in Naples.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Theodore Sernovitz; sons James (Millie) Sernovitz and Neal (Seema) Sernovitz; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Nov. 2 at Palm Royale Cemetery in Naples. Rabbi Adam Miller officiated.
