CJL/JCC library opens on Oct. 18

The newly merged and computerized library resources of the Coalition for Jewish Learning, the education program of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation, and of the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center will officially open on Monday, Oct. 18.

Hourly tours of the facilities will begin at 10 a.m. A book sale will be held 10 a.m.-8 p.m. A reception and dedication ceremony will be held at 6:30 p.m. All of these will take place at the JCC.

The library now includes four collections:

• The Reading Room, a gift of Dorothy and Merton Rotter, with furnishings in memory of Hyman Madnek.

• The CJL Library, with non-fiction and Holocaust resources.

• The Creativity Center, a gift of Louise and Jerry Stein, with curriculum materials for Jewish classrooms and families.

• The Bursak Library, a gift of the George and Ida Bursak Memorial Endowment.
