Major League Baseball Commissioner Allan “Bud” Selig received the James V. Day “Good Guy” Award from The American Legion at that organization’s 92nd national convention, held in Milwaukee this past August.
Selig was honored both for his work for professional baseball and his activity on behalf of philanthropic and humanitarian causes. These have included such local Jewish organizations as Israel Bonds and Congregation Emanu-El B’ne Jeshurun.
