Several members of the local Jewish community were chosen for national positions with the federation’s umbrella organizations, the Jewish Federations of North America (formerly known as United Jewish Communities.)
Andrea Schneider was nominated to the board of directors of JFNA’s National Women’s Philanthropy; Phillip Katz and Henry “Trip” Stern have been invited to join the National Young Leadership Cabinet; and Susan Stern has been given the Ritual and Judaica portfolio of the National Young Leadership Cabinet.
In late April, Susan Stern traveled to Morocco on a NYL cabinet mission.
