Sheldon Bernard Rochwerger

Pharmacist Sheldon Bernard Rochwerger died Feb. 27 at age 72.

A native Milwaukeean, he graduated from Washington High School in 1954. In 1963, he earned a Bachelor of Science in pharmacy from the University of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy, where he was a member of the Phi Sigma Delta fraternity.

He was a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army Reserves and later was worshipful master of Milwaukee-Harmony Lodge #261, continuing on to become a Shriner.

A member of Beth El Ner Tamid Synagogue, he particularly enjoyed boating, fishing and amateur radio.

He is survived by wife Bonnie (Stein) Rochwerger of Milwaukee; daughter Lisa (Andrew) Wagner and son Richard (Amanda) Rochwerger, both of Edmond, Okla.; brother Leonard (Marlene) Rochwerger of Sun City West, Ariz; and three grandchildren.

Burial was in Beth HaMedrosh HaGodel Cemetery. Rabbi Gil Ezer Lerer officiated. Goodman Bensman Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
