Dorothy Polacheck

 Native Milwaukeean Dorothy Polacheck died on Oct. 19 at age 105.

After attending West Division High School and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, she worked in the family store, J&S Polacheck men’s clothing store on Wisconsin Avenue.

In addition to her volunteer work with the Children’s Outing Association, she loved to travel and play bridge.

Her husband Jean Polachek died in 1953. She is survived by son Larry (Bobbi) Polacheck of Whitefish Bay, three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at Greenwood Cemetery. Rabbi David Cohen officiated. Blane Goodman Funeral Service handled the arrangements.

The family would appreciate memorial contributions to COA or the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
